ASATI to Build 64 Stadiums |

ASATI (Air Structures American Technologies and Investments, a subsidiary of the American company Air Structures American Technologies, Inc.), has been awarded a contract to construct coverings over 64 stadiums to be built in Russia as part of the Health of the Nation national project. The value of the contract is estimated at $40 million.
Alexander Nemerinsky, general director of ASATI, said that the company would build lightweight airtight coverings over 31 ice rinks and 33 sports complex in the course of a year. The total area of the coverings would be approximately 2500 square meters. The first components for the roofs will be imported from the United States, but a plant to produce them in Russia will go into operation in September of this year. The company is now choosing a site for that plant.?A source at the Federal Agency for Physical Fitness and Sports confirmed that?the company won a tender for the project that will begin next year. |
